Weekend
So Friday was my first day of work. It was alright. The manager and his wife own the store, so she was working. It was better after she left. I really liked the other girl, although it was only her third day and she was left in charge of training me so clearly it's a difficult job. After work I went over to Shane's mom's (Kris) for her birthday dinner. Some of her friends(Doug and Lisa) from San Diego came in to town with Shane's sister (Rhiannon). Lisa loves to cook and apparently makes these great meals every time she's in town. We had prime rib on Friday and it was awesome. Lisa's daughter Nevaeh is adorable. She colored me a picture and told me she wants me to be her best friend. She's 4 and I told her when she was older that I was going to introduce her to Collin. Then Saturday it was Kris's actual birthday party. It was fun, mostly just a bunch of people hanging out. Everyone really likes me so I don't feel left out or anything. Poor Sami had to stay in the house with Kris's dogs. She has two weiner dogs that would have been too much to deal with with all the people in the house. We just put baby gates up and locked them in the kitchen while Sami still had the run of the house. She was really agitated by it though and I felt really bad. On Friday we were up until like 1230 and Shane had to get up at 430, and Saturday we were up until like 1 and he had to get up early again, so he's probably dragging pretty bad at work today. There's nothing to do today though so we'll just lay around. On Saturday after Shane got off work we went birthday shopping for his mom. We also got this new special that McDonald's has. It's 50 chicken nuggets for $9.99. We ate 45. I wussed out on my last 5. I know that sounds delicious to you mom. It also rained pretty hard for most of the day. I have work again tomorrrow, and the manager told me on Thursday that I'll probably get a key on Monday. I miss my family and friends! Arizona's not so bad though. There are definately good things, like our nearest Walmart is a super Walmart. I don't know why we've been shopping at Basha's. Probably because it's walking distance. But Walmart is right across the street from work, so that's where I'll be going. Plus Shane's in Arizona and he takes such good care of me. I couldn't ask for better.
